A New Year, a More Courageous You

Most people associate courage with fearlessness, but that's a faulty interpretation. To be courageous, you must take action despite your fears. A person who is courageous responds fearlessly despite anxiety and worry that may be tugging on them.

Despite your fear, there are a number of ways you can become more courageous and make the most of every situation in your life.

Here are some tips:

Journaling is a great way to get honest with yourself, discover what you need from life and become more aware of your own needs and wants.

  • Embrace vulnerability

Those who live lives based on fear have little or no self-confidence. Feel free to open up and become more vulnerable if you are worried that other people will see who you are.

  • Think positively

Being loved and shown affection by others is part of a positive attitude. Allow others to do nice things for you if you are someone who refuses favors.

  • Reduce your stress

Exhaustion can sometimes cause you to experience fear. Get enough sleep, eat well, and exercise regularly. Enjoy your vacation time and take breaks. We all need a break.

  • Demonstrate courage

You can also overcome fear by showing courage. Give someone the help they need who is in a dangerous situation. Rather than ignoring a distressed person, call for help or step in to help.

  • Know failure but press forward

In case of failure, don't curl up in a ball or hide in a corner. Keep moving forward instead.

  • Continue to learn

Keep learning and improving your skills to continue to grow. Take advantage of every opportunity to learn a new skill.

This upcoming 2023, be the best version you can be. Be courageous enough to face all the uncertainties.
